Anxiety

When anxiety fills you, it is as if your body has negative currents flowing through it, and nothing seems to calm it. You can drink or take a pill, or watch a TV show, or something that will mute the noise of your fear. In moderation, relief like that can be helpful. In excess, your solution creates new problems.

At the cause of all anxiety is thought. Thoughts, both conscious and subconscious, create fear.

Observe your anxiety. Where in your body is it located? Where are you tense and uncomfortable? Can you just allow the discomfort for a short while and observe it non-judgmentally? Accept that it is there. Breathe deeply. Your fears and anxiety are telling you something.

Call upon your Spirit (Higher Power) and ask that It (He, She), to look at your thoughts and the underlying beliefs that create your thoughts, along with you. Allow the Light of Spirit to shine upon these thoughts and beliefs. They are illusions. They are not you. They are only thoughts. Ask that your thoughts be corrected so that you may see more clearly.

As your thoughts change, your body will respond with greater calm. With greater calm comes greater clarity in your thinking.
