What do you want to come of this?

What do you want to come of this? That is the question that needs to be asked each day and at the beginning of each thing you do. Once you are clear on the goal, is your thinking in alignment with it?  Is your behavior in alignment?

Most of us have numerous distractions in our thinking and behavior. Distractions cause us pain and discomfort, because they put us in conflict with ourselves.

Notice your distractions today.  Mental fantasies, conflicted thoughts, adversarial behaviors, eating too much, obsessing about things. When you catch yourself being distracted, stop. Give your thoughts over to Spirit (God, Universal Mind, Higher Self, whatever you call It) and let the Inner Voice guide you. Clarify your goal and refocus your thinking.

Your thoughts are creating your experience, and your experience reinforces your thoughts. It may take quite an effort to dig out of the mental holes we fall into. Knowing what you want helps to motivate you.

Nothing to defend

There is nothing to defend. There are no conflicts except the ones in my mind. There are no battles to fight unless I choose to invent them.

What if someone attacks and I don't defend? Is it still an attack? If someone gives me their criticism and hatred, but I don't receive it, who does it belong to?

Let me see clearly today. Where there seems to be attack, let me see an opportunity to help. Someone else's pain doesn't have to be mine.

Defensiveness makes me weak. Defenselessness makes me strong. Listen and understand. There is nothing to defend.

In the flow

Spiritual Intelligence puts you in the flow. When you lose yourself in creating, performing, serving or teaching others, or even fishing, something greater moves through you. Spirit expresses through you. Choose activities that put you in this state and you feel complete. When Spirit moves through you and your ego is in check, you are complete. In the flow state creativity and miracles increase in frequency.

Practicing Spiritual Intelligence

The ego is the false self, the self image that you hold. The ego is fear based.

Spiritual Intelligence is choosing the Voice of Spirit (God, Universal Mind, whatever you name it) over the voice of the ego. You always have access to the Voice of Spirit. Fearful thoughts tend to drown out the Inner Voice.

Be aware today. Check with yourself hourly. How do you feel?  Fearful? Threatened? Angry? Joyful? Relaxed?  If your emotion is negative, that's a signal for you that the ego is running things. This is an excellent time for prayer, or for meditation.  Consciously release the thoughts that are causing your negative emotion, even if you don't know what those thoughts are. Ask Spirit for guidance for what to think and what to do. Get quiet and listen. Proceed with confidence that all is well and that you are receiving the guidance you need.

Thank you

Whatever happens today, say "Thank you." Whether it feels good or bad, it's for your good. Say thank you and ask your Inner Voice how to perceive what happens. Ask for direction and then move forward with confidence. Nothing can harm the essence of what you are. Live full out. Smile. Laugh. You are a blessing to the world.

Spiritual Intelligence

The root of the word "intelligence" means to "choose between. Spiritual intelligence is the willingness and ability to choose between the inner voice of spirit, or the many voices of ego. It takes practice to discern between, but it only takes intention to ask, get quiet, and listen. What is your purpose?  What do you want to come of this day? As we learn to trust in the Inner voice (intuition, inspiration) and act, life unfolds in ways that are often miraculous.

Be willing not to believe.

Assess your thinking. Dive deep into your mind to contemplate that which you claim to believe. Be willing not to believe.  Open yourself to insight and inspiration. How can you learn and grow spiritually if you already know it all?  Be open, or else you are only practicing religion, not spirituality.

be a light

Be a light. Don't wait for the light to shine on you; be a light.  Shine. Write. Speak. Sing. Love. Help others. Listen deeply. Express gratitude. Utilize your talents. Be a fountain of joy. Don't worry about what you should get. Focus on giving. You are a light.

Free yourself

When you decide that THIS relationship, THIS career path, and THIS source and level of income will make you happy, you limit yourself. This kind of thinking creates fear. When THIS relationship seems threatened, you fear losing it. When THIS career path seems threatened, you fear losing it. When the money you expect does not arrive, you fear consequences. Your attachments create fear. Is that what you want, a life filled with fear?

Free yourself from attachment to what YOU think you should have and to what YOU think should happen.

You are a Verb.

You are a verb who thinks he is a noun. You are an is who thinks he is an it. You are a spirit who thinks he is a body. You are always in a state of being. You always are.

Life is a movie, not a snapshot.
Memories are snapshots, frozen in time, and revised to fit our beliefs about ourselves.

Surrender

Surrender to Spirit involves no loss, unless you consider giving up fear a loss. Clarify your intent. Let it go. Take action. Expect success.

All answers are there to be had.

When you pray or meditate-- An endless stream of thoughts hardly allows for a response. See that you take a break. Cleanse yourself before prayer and meditation by verbalizing all of your fears and worries. Then see, as the quiet comes, what will be told to you. With a sense of knowing you will press on to engage in your day. Direct all questions within. Be still and quiet. be calm , and know that all answers are there to be had.

What do you want?

What do you want? Get quiet. Let go of everything you think you are supposed to want. Forget about status or the approval of others. Dive deep in your mind and heart. What do you want? Beneath the superficial wants and needs of the world lies what you really want, what your spirit is calling you to. Simply ask and listen.

Who are you?

Who are you? You are not your career. You are not your home. You are not your race, (because race isn't real, only a construct). You are not your gender, but you play a male or a female role. We usually confuse the role(s) we play with who we are. Who are you? The question to ask is: "Who am I?" Most of your discoveries will be along the lines of who you are not. Consider not identifying with the role, but just playing it---parent, manager, employee, male, female, leader, service provider, neighbor, mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter--these are all roles. In prayer or meditation, or contemplation ask: Who am I?

Spiritual Intelligence: Observing

Step outside of yourself and observe you. What do you see? Pretend that you are the real you, and that the mental/physical/emotional you is your puppet. You work the strings. What would you have yourself "say". and "do." This is an effective way to manage fearful situations. You are safely behind the curtain while you operate the "you" that everyone sees."

What results are "you" producing?  What is "your" impact?  Let your inner wisdom guide you as you direct the "you" who is in the world.

Seeing

What if you were to look at someone without your story about them. Just observe what is. What do you see?

Spiritual Intelligence: Thank you

Whatever happens today, say "Thank you." This is the most powerful prayer. In this prayer you are saying that nothing in the world is more powerful than what is within you--that everything is a gift for your benefit. The universe is your personal amusement park. Enjoy the adventure.

Spiritual Intelligence in Relationships

We seldom see another person accurately. The ego has a story about each person and we tend to see what fits the story. Set the story aside for a moment, and ask to be able to see this person as they truly are. Ask to see the perfection that is within them. When you truly understand another person--their fears, their dreams, their inner perfection,  you can no longer judge them.

Once you get your story out of the way you have a chance to see someone's inner beauty, and you speak to it (Rather than speaking to their perceived faults). Speaking to it--you draw it out.

Day 5: Spiritual Intelligence

There is a part of you that knows what to do. You don't need a book or a person to tell you. Books and people can be valuable guides but they are like the finger pointing at the moon.  If they don't guide you inward then they are misguiding you. There is another voice than that of your ego. Call for It. Pray for it. Meditate on it. It's there for you.

Spiritual Intelligence: Dealing with fear

In order to get to the Inner Voice, deal with your fears.
If you're feeling it, ask: "What am I afraid of?" and "How does this feel?"
Breathe and let yourself feel it without analyzing it.
When you come to a place of calm, ask: "What is this about and what do I need to do?"
Let your Inner Voice guide you.
It's just fear, and fear is nothing to be afraid of. Feel it and let it go.

Spiritual Intelligence 3

Awareness is the first choice. How do you feel? What is the story you are telling yourself? Is it real?
The next choice is: What do you want to come of this?
The third choice is whether you will see this as your ego or as Spirit (God, Higher Self, Holy Spirit, Inner Being, Inner Voice, Love, the Universe, or whatever you choose to call it)

This is the choice to let go and be guided by the Inner Voice. Listen.  When you do this you feel a sense of peace and great confidence. There is nothing to fear. In this state  there is no challenge you cannot meet.
